Derek is by far one of the best tuners out there! He always makes an effort to explain & NOT sound condescending or rude.
By my 3rd file in HPT I realized he was legit as nearly all my previous issues were gone. I've offered plenty of times to pay for additional changes and he respectfully declined. I've driven over 10k miles on his tuning and the truck continues to perform amazing!

2/1/26 Update. Changed my setup to built motor & 15psi.This came ONLY because shit E85 killed my injectors and I thought the engine was hurt(it wasn't). Derek once again delivered top notch service and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. The truck is an absolute sleeper animal! Spins all 4 tires off the line pedaling it!!

Derek got my car dialed in, running smooth and making great power on low boost and low timing. Cannot wait to add fuel, raise boost and wick it up! Derek provides awesome customer service along with an awesome end result!

Derek did amazing on my 6.2 lt1. Hands downs someone I can put my trust into from here on out. A1 communication and honesty. He even tuned my ss on his birthday.. that alone should tell you what type of guy he is.

First, Derek got back to my emails super speedy. Got me in for a tune as soon as possible, and got it right.
Any questions I asked, he answered, and took the time to explain things. My truck feels more enjoyable and smooth. Just plain SMOOTH. the shifts are quick with no jerks, the throttle response is instant, the truck is way happier and so am I.
Once finished, he made sure to ask if anything else needed changed or any shift points adjusted.. very professional and respectable!

I had my truck remotely tuned but Derek. The problem with tuners today its hard to find good trustworthy ones. He's the 3rd tuner ive had because the other 2 just never got the truck right and seemed like they didnt want to take the time to fix it. They were to worried about other things. Derek nailed the tune and restored some faith haha. We went back and forth for hours with data logs and tune files until the truck was perfect. He is a must use tune for sure and I will be telling everyone I know to use him.

I hired Derek to tune my texasspeed crate engine I put in my C6 vette because I had many bad experiences with tuners in the past. Not here, he’s the best for a reason. Extremely patient, honest, constructive and he knows how these cars work. Day or night you have a problem he’s got your back. Hands down one of the best tuners I've worked with. Derek remote tuned my car. Had me gapping people and had my car dialed in for a race weekend. He was extremely quick at responding back. I didn't need to wait days or hours for a response back like some other "well known" tuners. If you have a LSA this is your guy.

Swapped a cammed/ turbo’d ls3 and built 6l90 into my RCSB, we had a few hiccups to deal with we figured out when we started the tune but Derek was patient with me fixing it and now the truck runs and drives awesome!

Absolutely the best tuning experience you will ever have. Derek took my car from not running to drivable on a Friday night at well after 10pm. After a few driving logs the car is an animal. Revisions come back almost instantly. Had a few issues with the car and by just seeing the logs he pointed me in the right direction. DDTECH is the only option for remote tuning on LS engines.

Derek Dunbar with ddtechtuning is an absolute pleasure to deal with! He has been on the remote tuning for my freshened up LQ4. Just did a little cam upgrade, some headers and a fully new gasketed motor. His response time is impeccable. The fine tuning from the first revision to the sixth revision was awesome to see and feel. Also sent me a separate tune for just regular 87 octane so I don't have to run 91 all the time.

Cannot recommend this guy enough! Still have a follow-up log to send him here in a few weeks to make sure everything is up to snuff but I'm sure that if there are any changes to be made they will be made in a very timely manner!
